the beachfront hotel was large. it was excellent.

I was disappointed, especially because i had stayed at other shangri-la resorts before. the rooms were not up to standard, the walls were dirty, and the wallpaper was peeling. even our room service tray had food smeared under the plates. It was unpleasant.

my ocean wing room provided a spacious and well-equipped environment. the balcony featured a bathtub, much appreciated by my children. i found the ocean wing quieter than the garden wing, a definite advantage. i enjoyed the dedicated pool and breakfast restaurant exclusive to ocean wing guests.

The minibar was dry! and the fridge barely cooler than the room temperature. A small inconvenience.
